Leather police baton with broken wrist band. Undecorated leather exterior has been sewn together. The seams have burst in one section, causing beads to fall out of the baton. Wrist band is attached with string. Red electrical tape has been placed around the middle of the baton before being donated to the museum.

Written on the box in which it was found: "#181-E-Appleton (brittle) U.S. Leather bealt and buckle" From the estate of Edith App;eton whose grandfather John Lawrence was a Mosby Ranger. Edith's granddaughter Elizabeth Lawrence works at FNB (Trust Dept) as of 1990.
