"Waffenrock" German dress uniform White piping signifies infantry status Light grey piping on epaulets signigies that this soldier was in the reserve Captain in the 106th infantry regiment Ribbon bar may not be original as it has three ribbons whereas loops on coat are present for four ribbons First ribbon is the iron cross second class from WWI Second ribbon is faded (?) and unknown Third ribbon is a WWI Commemorative medal, the crossed swords mean that this soldier was in combat. This ribbon was manufactured in 1937 and is the only such medal produced by Nazi Germany which did not feature the swastica.
