    Typewriter and wooden case owned by Dr. Leslie R. Quackenbash of Remington. Made between 1880 and 1883 by the Hammond Typewriter Co. of New York. Patent Dates February 3, 1880 - December 18, 1883 This typewriter was owned by Dr. Leslie R. Quackenbush (US Navy Ret.) who lived in Remington from about 1909 until he died in 1913.
